Overview

Simplifi’s Savings Goals can help you easily plan for your future, whether you're planning a vacation, buying a home, or anything in between!

Savings Goals are easy: as soon as you tell Simplifi what you want to save for, and how much you want to save, we'll tell you what to contribute and how often.  Don't have a goal date in mind?  Not a problem, either--you can choose how much you contribute, and we'll tell you when you'll achieve your goal.

Creating a Savings Goal

Here’s how to set up a new Savings Goal in Simplifi:

  1. Click Goals in the left-hand menu bar.
  2. Click +Add Goal and select the kind of goal you want to set up.
  3. Name your goal and enter the Goal amount. If you've already started saving, you can put that under Saved so far.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Set a target date and a start date to complete your Goal. You can check I don’t have a date in mind if you'd don't have a target date. Then, click Continue.
  6. Confirm your goal details and whether you'd like your planned contribution amount to be included in your Spending Plan.
  7. Click Create Goal to finish creating your Savings Goal.

Contributing to your Savings Goals

You can choose when and how often you want to contribute to your Savings Goals. When you contribute funds to a Savings Goal, Simplifi will separate the amount you've contributed from your available balance.

As an example, if your bank balance is $2,607.63 and you've told Simplifi that you've contributed $2,399.00 from your account to your Savings Goal(s), Simplifi will add a separate Available Balance, which is the amount remaining:

Note: Simplifi will never add or take money from your actual financial accounts. Your goal is meant to keep you accountable and moving forward!

Add contributions

  1. Click Goals in the left-hand menu bar.
  2. Find the goal you want to contribute to and click +Contribute.
  3. Select the account you want your contribution to come from and enter the contribution amount.

If your circumstances change, and you need to return a contribution to your spending funds, you can withdraw it by clicking on the (-) TAKE FROM button on your Savings Goal home page. It will bring up a screen that will allow you to enter the amount you want to remove from your Goal and will recalculate the amount you have left to save once you do.
