Overview

While we've worked hard to ensure that Simplifi links transactions properly, there may be times when you'll need to manually link a downloaded transaction to a Recurring Reminder, or when you need to unlink a transaction from a Recurring Reminder.

Since Simplifi is continually learning, linking transactions to Reminders will increase the odds that it matches correctly next time!

Note: For 'Past Due' Reminders, there can only be one instance in Simplifi at a time, so once the next instance occurs, the prior instance will be removed.

Link a Transaction to a Reminder

  1. Hover over the panel on the left-hand side and select Transactions.

  2. Select the account where the transaction occurred.

  3. In the Upcoming section, locate the Reminder you'd like to link.

  4. Click the three dots to the upper right of the Reminder.

  5. Select Link to transaction.

  6. Locate the matching transaction and click on it.

  7. Click Link.

Simplifi will remove the Recurring Reminder from the Upcoming view and match it to the downloaded transaction.

You can also link a transaction to a Reminder from the transaction directly:

  1. Hover over the panel on the left-hand side and select Transactions.

  2. Select the account where the transaction occurred.

  3. Locate the transaction you'd like to link and click the three dots at the end of it.

  4. Select Mark as bill or recurring.

  5. Select Link to existing bill or subscription.

  6. Locate the associated Recurring Series and select it.

Note: If you'd like to link a manual transaction to a Recurring Reminder, it must be done from the transaction directly.

Unlink a Transaction From a Reminder

  1. Hover over the panel on the left-hand side and select Transactions.

  2. Select the account where the transaction occurred.

  3. Locate the transaction you'd like to unlink and click the three dots at the end of it.

  4. Select Edit transaction.

  5. In the Recurring bill/income section, click Unlink.

Once unlinked from the transaction, the Recurring Reminder will be added back to the Upcoming view.
