How to Share Your Simplifi Data
Learn how to share your Simplifi data with family and friends using Space Sharing

Overview

With Space Sharing, you can now share your Simplifi data with others! This is a great tool to use if you'd like to share your finances with a spouse or significant other, an accountant, or even a friend, without sharing your login credentials. You can share your Space with one additional member who will have full read and write access to your Simplifi data. Each member will need to create their own Quicken ID and password if they do not already have one, however, an additional Simplifi Subscription is not required -- just an invite from you!

Please note that at this time, Invitees will need to sign in using the Web App; if they try to sign in on the Mobile App, they will be prompted to sign up for a Subscription. No need to worry if they opened the invite from the Mobile App, though! They can simply navigate back to the email invitation and open it on a web browser to proceed.

Note: Limited access capabilities, such as sharing specific accounts or features, may become available for Space Sharing in the future.

Invite a Member

You can share your Simplifi data with one additional member, who will need to have their own Quicken ID and password, but who do not need to have their own Simplifi Subscription.

  1. Hover over the panel on the left-hand side and select Settings.

  2. Select Spaces & sharing.

  3. Locate your Financial Space and click the three dots to the upper right of it.

  4. Select Invite member.

  5. Enter the member's First Name, Last Name, and Email, and then click Invite. Note: If the member already has a Quicken ID, you must use their existing email address. However, if the member does not already have a Quicken ID, they'll need to create one for the email address used in this step.

  6. Once the invite is sent, you'll receive a confirmation email, and the additional member will receive an email inviting them to your space. The member will need to select Accept Invitation from the email that's sent to them.

  7. Once the member accepts the invitation, they'll be able to sign in to Simplifi using their Quicken ID and password. At this point, the member will be accessing and using your Simplifi data.

If the member you're sharing with already has their own Simplifi Subscription and Space, they'll be able to switch between your Space and theirs. This also applies to someone sharing their Space with you -- you'll be able to switch between their Space and yours.

To switch between Spaces:

  1. Select the three dots to the upper right of the Space you'd like to view.

  2. Click Switch to this space.

You can also leave a Space that's being shared with you:

  1. Select the three dots to the upper right of the Space you'd like to leave.

  2. Click Leave this space.

Note: If you have an active Simplifi Subscription and someone is sharing their Space with you, you will be able to switch between their space and yours on the Simplifi Mobile App from the Profile menu (person icon at the upper right of the Dashboard). All other Space Sharing features/abilities are currently not available from the Mobile App.

Managing Your Space

With Space Sharing, you now have the option to manage your own Simplifi Space. You can edit your Space by:

  1. Select the three dots to the upper right of your Space.

  2. Click Update this space.

  3. From here, you can change the Name of your Simplifi Space, as well as the Zipcode.

You can also manage the additional members that have access to your Space by:

  1. Selecting the three dots to the upper right of your Space.

  2. Click Manage members.

  3. Select the three dots to the right of the Member you'd like to remove.

  4. Click Remove, and then click Continue to confirm.

Please note that removed members will receive an email stating that they've been removed.
