Overview

At the start of a new month, Quicken Simplifi will automatically alert you of any unresolved items from the prior month, such as recurring bills or subscriptions that have not been linked to transactions, expected Income that hasn't been received, or planned spending expenses with money left over.

This ensures that all of your expected income, bills, subscriptions, and planned spending items are accounted for in your Spending Plan, allowing you to compare how you did versus what was planned!

Listed below are the steps needed to help you fix any unresolved items in your Spending Plan.

Note: With our Rollover feature, you will no longer be able to release funds from Planned Spending Series that have Rollover enabled. For more information, click here for Web and here for Mobile!

Releasing unused Planned Spending funds

  • If you show that you have unused funds in one of your Planned Spending events, you should release the remaining unused funds back to your available spending. By releasing unused funds, you’ll have an accurate amount of how your month ended, allowing you to allocate those unused funds to other financial goals.

  • Once all outstanding items have been resolved in the Spending Plan for a prior month, Quicken Simplifi will give you an accurate "left at end of the month" total.
