Overview:

We will go over how you can add, edit, or even delete transactions that have either been downloaded or manually added into Simplifi mobile app.

Note: You can add new manually added transactions and Simplifi will match it to the downloaded transaction in a connected account, as long as the information matches.

How to add a transaction:

  1. On the main home screen, click on the menu icon, located on the top left side of the screen.
  2. Once the menu opens, locate the Accounts tab.
  3. Now that you’re on the All Accounts page, click on the account that you want to add a transaction to.
  4. Click on the + Add icon on the top right corner of the screen.
  5. After clicking the + Add icon, you will be presented with a screen to indicate if the transaction is money in or money out. Select one and enter in the amount of the transactions.
  6. Enter in the name of the date, payee, category, and even a tag.
  7. You have the option to ignore the transaction from your Reports and your Spending Plan.
  8. You can add a note to your transaction or add an attachment.

Note: You can also add a transaction from the All Transactions screen by clicking on the + Add icon on the top right of the screen and follow the steps above.

How to edit transactions:

  1. Click on the menu icon on the top left corner of the screen and either click on Accounts.
  2. Click on the account that has the transaction that you want to edit.
  3. Once you’ve clicked on the transaction that you want to edit, click on any of the fields to make any necessary changes.
  4. Once you’ve made the necessary changes, click on the Save icon on the top right corner of the screen.

Note: You can edit a transaction from the All Transaction screen by clicking the menu icon on the top left side of the screen.

How to delete a transaction:

Note: Make sure to review your transactions before deleting them. If you delete a downloaded transaction, you will NOT be able to re-download that transaction, you'll have to manually add it instead.

  1. Click on the menu icon on the top left corner of the screen and either click on Accounts.
  2. Click on the account that has the transaction that you want to delete.
  3. Click on the transaction.
  4. Once you're in the transaction, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Delete Transaction.
  5. Confirm if you want to delete the transaction and once you do, the transaction will be deleted.

Note: You can delete a transaction from the All Transaction screen by clicking the menu icon on the top left side of the screen.
