Overview

With most of us shopping online these days, we know how hard it is to keep track of all the items you've returned and when you should expect to receive the refund. Let Simplifi do that for you!

Our Refund Tracker is designed to keep an eye out for your expected refunds, so you don't have to. Once you tell us what items you've returned and the expected reimbursement, Simplifi will monitor your downloaded transactions and notify you if it's not received by the expected date.

Tracking a Refund

The Refund Tracker can be accessed by selecting the Reports tab in the menu on the left-hand side. You can track new refunds by selecting Track a Refund.

Then, let Simplifi know the expected payee, amount, date, and account you expect to receive the refund. You can also add a category or a note to reference the item returned.

While we work hard to ensure Simplifi properly links downloaded transactions, sometimes Simplifi will get it wrong. In those cases, you can either manually Link or Unlink the downloaded transaction to the expected refund.

Linking a refund reminder to a transaction

  1. Hover over the menu on the left-hand side.

  2. Select Transactions.

  3. Locate the downloaded refund transaction.

  4. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the amount.

  5. Select the blue Track it here link next to "Was this a refund?"

  6. Select the corresponding refund for this transaction.

Simplifi will link the downloaded transaction to the expected refund and update the transaction details, such as payee name and category, to what was provided in the Refund Tracker.

Unlinking a refund reminder from a transaction

  1. Hover over the menu on the left-hand side.

  2. Select Transactions.

  3. Locate the downloaded refund transaction.

  4. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the amount.

  5. Select Unlink next to "This transaction was matched to an existing transaction when it was downloaded."

  6. Click Continue to complete unlink.

Once unlinked, Simplifi will revert the changes made to the payee name and category.
