Overview

With most of us shopping online these days, we know how hard it is to keep track of all of the items you've returned and when you should expect to receive the refund. Let Quicken Simplifi do that for you!

Our Refund Tracker is designed to keep an eye out for your expected refunds so you don't have to. Once you tell us what items you've returned and the expected reimbursement amount, Quicken Simplifi will monitor your downloaded transactions and notify you if it's not received by the expected date.

Tracking a Refund

  1. Click the Menu icon (the three lines in the upper left corner).

  2. Select Reports and then Refund Tracker.

  3. Click the blue Track a Refund button.

  4. Enter the Payee, Amount, and Expected Date of the Refund, then select the Account and Category for the Refund. You also have the option of adding a Note or an Attachment.

  5. Click Submit when done.

Link a Refund to a Transaction

While we work hard to ensure Quicken Simplifi properly links downloaded transactions to your expected refunds, sometimes Quicken Simplifi will get it wrong. In those cases, you can manually link the transaction to the refund.

Note: Manually entered transactions cannot be linked to refunds at this time.

  1. Click the Menu icon (the three lines in the upper left corner).

  2. Select Reports and then Refund Tracker.

  3. Locate the Refund you'd like to link and click on it.

  4. Select Mark as Received.

  5. Locate the Transaction you'd like to link the Refund to and click on it so it's highlighted.

  6. Click Apply in the upper right corner.

Quicken Simplifi will link the downloaded transaction to the expected refund and update the transaction details, such as the Payee and Category, to what was provided in the Refund Tracker.

Unlink a Refund from a Transaction

  1. Click the Menu icon (the three lines in the upper left corner).

  2. Select Reports and then Refund Tracker.

  3. Locate the Refund you'd like to unlink and click on it.

  4. Select Mark as Not Received.

  5. Click Continue to confirm.

Once unlinked, Quicken Simplifi will revert any changes made to the Payee and Category at the time of linking.

Edit or Delete a Refund

  1. Click the Menu icon (the three lines in the upper left corner).

  2. Select Reports and then Refund Tracker.

  3. Locate the Refund you'd like to edit or delete and click on it.

  4. Select Edit in the upper right corner.

  5. To Edit the Refund, make the necessary changes, then click Save when done; to Delete the Refund, select Delete from the bottom of the screen, and then click Delete again to confirm.
